Proofly Review: A Free Proof-of-Delivery App for Riders and Small Sellers

Proofly icon
If you've ever delivered a package and then had to argue with a customer over whether it actually arrived, you already understand why I built this app. Proofly is a delivery-proof app for riders, couriers, and small business owners — it turns every drop-off into a timestamped, GPS-tagged, signed record in a few seconds. No account is required, it works without an internet connection, and it's free to start.

In this post I'll walk through what Proofly actually does, who it's built for, and where it has limits — including the free plan's cap — so you can judge for yourself whether it's worth putting on your phone.

What is Proofly?

Proofly is a free Android app for proof of delivery. Instead of relying on a rider's word or a customer's memory, every delivery gets a photo, an on-screen signature, and an automatically stamped GPS location and timestamp — bundled into a receipt you can share immediately over WhatsApp, email, or any other app on your phone.

I built it to match how delivery actually works: on the move, often with unreliable signal. Proofly is offline-first — every core feature works without an internet connection, all data stays on your device, and there's no account or login required to start using it.

Delivery Proof & Receipt

This is the core of the app, and I built it to be fast — a rider standing at someone's front door shouldn't have to fumble through menus.

  • ๐Ÿ“ธ Photo evidence — capture a photo at the exact point of delivery
  • ✍️ Digital signature — the recipient signs directly on-screen
  • ๐Ÿ“ Auto-stamped GPS + timestamp — location and time are recorded automatically, with no manual entry
  • ๐Ÿงพ Instant receipt generation — a proof-of-delivery document is generated the moment you finish
  • ➕ Extra photos — add more images to a delivery when one photo isn't enough proof

PDF Export & Reports

Once a delivery is logged, Proofly turns it into something you can actually send or file, not just a record sitting in the app:

  • Export individual delivery proofs as PDF
  • Export your full delivery history as monthly reports
  • Add your business name and company logo to every proof and report
  • Share exports directly from the app — no extra steps

Delivery History & Tracking

Every delivery you record stays searchable, so you're not digging through your camera roll or old chat messages trying to prove something happened.

  • View all past deliveries in one place
  • Search by customer name, address, or note
  • Filter by date, month, or delivery status
  • Track deliveries as delivered, failed, or refused

Analytics & Success Rate

Proofly also includes a simple analytics view — total deliveries completed, your success rate, and a daily breakdown over the last two weeks. It's a small feature on its own, but for a courier or a small delivery operation, seeing your delivered-vs-failed ratio at a glance is genuinely useful for deciding what to change.

Backup & Restore

Delivery records aren't something you want to lose, so Proofly gives you two backup paths:

  • Local backup — save to any storage app on your device
  • Google Drive cloud backup — keep a copy off-device
  • One-tap full restore — get everything back if you switch phones or reinstall

Offline-First & Security

Proofly works fully offline — capturing, signing, and storing a delivery never requires a connection — and all data stays on-device rather than tied to a mandatory account. For anyone handling customer information on a work phone, there's also an optional biometric or PIN app lock, plus light and dark mode so it's usable whether you're delivering at noon or at midnight.

Who Proofly is Built For

  • Delivery riders and couriers who need to settle disputes on the spot
  • Online sellers and e-commerce businesses shipping directly to customers
  • Logistics and freight operators who need a paper trail for every drop-off
  • Any small business that wants proof of delivery without paying for a bulky enterprise platform

Proofly also ships with Filipino, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Thai, and Malay translations alongside English. That wasn't an afterthought — Southeast Asia's delivery and e-commerce workforce is who I had in mind while building it.

Free Plan vs. Proofly Pro

The free plan covers 20 deliveries per month with full proof capture — photo, signature, and GPS timestamp. That cap is a real limit, not a soft one — past 20 deliveries in a month, you'll need Proofly Pro, which removes the cap entirely and unlocks PDF export, delivery history reports, backup & restore, and custom business branding (your name and logo on every proof). Pricing is regional — around ₱149/month in the Philippines, or roughly $2.99/month elsewhere — with a discounted yearly option.

Getting Started

  1. Download Proofly from the Google Play Store.
  2. Tap New Delivery and enter the customer's name and notes.
  3. Take a photo and have the recipient sign on-screen.
  4. Proofly auto-stamps the GPS location and timestamp and generates the proof.
  5. Share the receipt instantly, or export it as a PDF later from Delivery History.

Try Proofly

If delivery disputes, "I never got it" messages, or missing paperwork are eating into your time, this is the problem Proofly was built to solve — a few taps at the door, no account, no internet connection, no extra hardware.

Running into an edge case the app doesn't handle well, or have a feature request? Leave a comment below — Proofly's roadmap so far has mostly come from riders and small sellers telling me what they actually needed.

About the developer — I'm Sterb Sagar, an independent Android developer. I build focused apps for specific, real problems rather than trying to cover everything, and Proofly is one of a small lineup of apps I maintain and update based on direct feedback from the people using them. If you're a rider, courier, or seller with a suggestion or a bug to report, I'd genuinely like to hear it.
