If you've ever run a paluwagan on a group chat and a notebook — chasing "sino na naman ang di pa nagbayad," losing track of whose turn it is, and recalculating the pot by hand every round — you already understand why I built this app. Pulong is a paluwagan tracker for organizers and members: it builds your rotation schedule automatically, tracks every contribution, and shows at a glance who's paid, who's pending, and who's next in line. No spreadsheets, no account required, and it's free to start.
In this post I'll walk through what Pulong actually does, who it's built for, and where the free plan's limits are — so you can judge for yourself whether it's worth putting on your phone.

What is Pulong?
Pulong is a free Android app for tracking paluwagan (rotating savings) groups — the kind you run with family, coworkers, or a barkada. Instead of a shared notebook or a spreadsheet nobody updates, you set up the group once — members, contribution amount, and how often the pot is collected — and Pulong builds the full rotation schedule for you.
Every group gets a running total, a collected-vs-outstanding breakdown, and a clear view of who's paid for the current round. It works fully offline, all your data stays on your device, and there's no account or login required to start using it.
Groups & Automatic Rotation
This is the part that used to live in someone's head or a messy group chat. Pulong turns it into a schedule everyone can see:
- 👥 Set up a group in minutes — add members, set the contribution amount, and choose weekly, biweekly, or monthly collection
- 🔄 Automatic rotation — Pulong tracks whose turn it is to receive the pot and advances to the next round once the current one is complete
- ⏭️ Skip without disrupting — need to skip a member this cycle? Move them to the end of the rotation without reshuffling everyone else
- 📊 At-a-glance totals — total pot, collected, and outstanding amounts for the current round, right on the group card
Round Tracking & Payments
Every round breaks down into individual contributions, so there's never a question of who still owes what:
- ✅ Mark contributions as paid with a single tap, per member
- ⚡ Mark All Paid — close out a round in one tap once everyone's settled
- 🟡 Pending status — see exactly who's still owing for the current round, at a glance
- 💯 Progress bar — collected amount against the total pot, updated in real time
Reminders Without the Awkward Follow-Up
Chasing payments is the part of running a paluwagan nobody enjoys. Pulong takes the friction out of it:
- 🔔 Payment reminders — notify members when a contribution is due, so no one falls behind
- 💬 Send straight from the app — push a reminder to a member via WhatsApp, Viber, Messenger, or SMS in a couple of taps
- 🔕 Per-group control — turn reminders on or off for each group individually
Member History
Tap on any member and see their full contribution history — every round, every payment, all in one place. It's the first thing to check when someone asks "did I already pay for this round?"
Backup, Restore & Export Reports
Paluwagan records aren't something you want to lose track of, so Pulong gives you a few ways to keep them safe and shareable:
- Backup & restore — export your data to a backup file anytime, and restore it on a new device; your records are never locked into one phone
- PDF & CSV reports — generate a full report of a group's history, perfect for sharing with members or keeping for your own records
- Start New Cycle — once every member has received their pot, archive the completed cycle or start a fresh one without losing the history
Multiple Groups, One App
Family savings, office pooling, a friend group's paluwagan — Pulong lets you manage several groups at once, each tracked separately with its own members, schedule, and history.
Privacy First
All your data stays on your device. Pulong doesn't require an account, doesn't collect personal data, and doesn't share any information with third parties.
Who Pulong is Built For
- Paluwagan organizers who are tired of tracking payments in a notebook or group chat
- Members who want their own clear view of what they've paid and when they're due to receive the pot
- Offices and friend groups running more than one pooled savings round at a time
- Anyone who wants the rotation math and reminders handled automatically instead of by hand
Free Plan vs. Pulong Pro
The free plan covers up to 3 active groups and 15 members per group, with full round tracking, reminders, and member history included. Past those limits, Pulong Pro removes the caps entirely — unlimited groups and unlimited members per group — plus PDF/CSV report exports and backup & restore. Pro is available as ₱49/month, ₱299/year, or a one-time ₱499 lifetime purchase — pick whichever fits how long you plan to keep running your paluwagan.
Getting Started

Running a paluwagan differently, or have a feature you'd want to see? Leave a comment below — Pulong's roadmap so far has mostly come from organizers telling me what they actually needed.
About the developer — Im Sterb Sagar, an independent Android developer. I build focused apps for specific, real problems rather than trying to cover everything, and Pulong is one of a small lineup of apps I maintain and update based on direct feedback from the people using them. If you're a paluwagan organizer or member with a suggestion or a bug to report, I'd genuinely like to hear it.
